Children's television series
Country of origin
April 28, 2003 – September 11, 2005
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is an animated educational children's comedy television series created by Bob Boyle. The series is animated in Adobe Flash for Toon Boom software, produced by Bolder Media (a joint-venture between Frederator Studios and Mixed Media Group) and Starz Media (formerly IDT Entertainment). Bob Boyle, Susan Miller and Fred Seibert are the executive producers, and the technical director is David Sandford. The music is performed by Brad Mossman, and the musical score is composed and performed by Mike Reagan. The show is produced in Fresno, California at Film Roman. The series debuted April 28, 2003 in the United States on Nick Jr. The second season debuted February 9, 2004 on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. in the United States. Also in the United States, it aired on Noggin, however, it was shown intermittently (not every day) at an afternoon hour (ranging from 1pm on the east coast to 10am on the west coast). Like with the more well-known across-the-Atlantic transplant of 64 Zoo Lane, the episodes are re-dubbed with American-accented voices to make them easier for American children to follow and words specific to British English are changed. Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! replaced all other Nick Jr. content (with the exception of Maurice Sendak's Little Bear). On April 15, 2014 the Show got pulled out from the Nick Jr. website and TV channel, because of declining ratings and popularity, They needed more recent shows.
